About The Role 

Anglicare is currently looking for a permanent fulltime Village Accountant, based at our Norwest Business Park Head Office, with stakeholder engagement and relationship building experience.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, this role aims to ensure the effective financial management of all 25 Retirement Living Villages and Cafes across the Seniors Living portfolio by preparing timely and accurate budgets and monthly accounts as well as ensuring all reporting obligations are met. 

It will require someone with well-developed stakeholder management skills in order to help support and train others in management accounting skills. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and management will be pivotal to success in this position. 

The successful applicant will be required to drive to any of our 25 Residential Facilities on a regular basis across the Sydney Metro area to build relationships with the Village Managers.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Contribute to the development and coaching of operational staff in understanding financial results, reporting, KPIs and dashboards to uplift internal capabilities 
  • Ensure accurate financial results by conducting timely monthly reviews across site P&Ls, adjusting where necessary and engaging with site owners / shared services 
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes 
  • Identify gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency of the finance function in Seniors Living 
  • Support the completion of the annual audit process across villages 

Selection Criteria: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or equivalent
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and management accounting experience 
  • 2 years’ experience in an Accounting position 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
