About the Opportunity
This is a newly created position in the Seniors Living Business Unit, reporting into a Senior Financial Analyst. As we seek to continue growing and expanding our Home Care offering, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial results and drawing insights and observations with the Senior Financial Analyst.
About the Role
The Senior Financial Accountant ensure the effective financial management of care services provided across Seniors Living by ensuring the provision of accurate financial results and key insights, strong collaboration across divisional teams, and ensuring all internal and external reporting obligations are met. Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Contributes to the development and coaching of operational staff in understanding financial results, reporting, KPIs and dashboards with the aim to build organisational capability, accountability as well as timely and sound decision making.
Ensures timely and accurate financial results through the completion of all month-end tasks, the review of monthly financial results, and engagement with operations and finance shared services.
Ensures monthly billing is completed accurately through engagement with operations and systems teams.
Contributes to the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes by taking the lead for care services provided within Seniors Living.
About You
For this role, we are seeking a solution orientated and collaborative individual with a mix of the following qualifications, experience and skills:
Tertiary qualification in finance, business, or a similar field with a CA / CPA qualification.
A minimum of five years’ experience in similar financial accounting positions.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel.
Strong oral and written communication, along with strong listening skills.
Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
