Anglicare have opportunities for Students who are studying Certificate III in Health Services Assistance to obtain their 40 hours of work experience placement at our residential care homes.

To be eligible;

  • You will currently be enrolled within a Cert III in Health Services Assistance with one of our approved RTOs
  • Have a current police check clearance and /or NDIS worker screening check
  • Meet covid vaccination requirements

As a Student Carer, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents or clients are cared for physically, emotionally and spiritually, responding to their varied needs with empathy and respect.

During your student placement, you will work with a buddy to experience a range of duties that are required to ensure our residents or clients continue to receive outstanding care.

Key responsibilities (not limited to):

• Enable, support, and assist residents or clients with activities of daily living according to individual needs with respect, empathy and dignity

• Assist and cooperate with other team members

• Complete documentation concerning care needs

• Ensure care standards are upheld by following procedures, and contribute to safety culture by by following safe work practices
