Position Overview:

As a Registered Nurse at Anglicare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents mostly assisting with Leave Coverage when other Nurses are on leave.

 

You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide personalized care, administer medication, and support individuals with their daily needs. This position primarily involves covering shifts when other Registered Nurses go on leave, offering you a flexible schedule.

 

The position is based at Marcus Loane House in Warriewood, NSW.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans.
  • Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health conditions, documenting observations and reporting any changes to the clinical team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, allied health professionals, and support staff, to deliver holistic care.
  • Support residents with their daily activities, ensuring their dignity, privacy, and independence are maintained.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or critical situations, following established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

 

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated experience in aged care, community care, or a related healthcare setting.
  • Excellent clinical skills and the ability to provide compassionate and person-centered care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices in nursing.
  • Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including weekends and public holidays, to cover leave periods.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
