About the Role:
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Team Leader will play a key role to deliver an excellent customer experience for our clients and their carers in our community based social group and centre-based programs. You will have great leadership skills and be confident in coordinating safe, quality person-centred support for older people while achieving excellent outcomes that align with the Organisation’s Values, Vision and Mission.
The Team Leader will lead a team of dedicated lifestyle workers to achieve the best outcomes for our clients in a social group and centre-based setting in Penrith. Our programs are designed to assist frail older people to participate in community life and feel socially included through structured, group-based activities that develop, maintain and support independent living, and social interaction.
Key responsibilities include (not limited to):
- To lead the team to deliver excellent customer service and client / carer satisfaction, aligned with Anglicare’s Vision, Mission and Values.
- To ensure the staff perform effectively and cohesively by creating a culture that is consistent with the organisations values.
- To ensure the Centre operates within the safety standards and funding requirements.
- To ensure the programs within the centre are optimised to operate effectively and efficiently to deliver quality care.
- To coordinate and oversee the daily activities of the services, including rostering staff and arranging client transport.
- Build and promote the services to the wider community.
Skills knowledge and experience:
- Diploma of Leisure and Health/Community Services/Aged Care or relevant equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in the care sector, and experience in undertaking comprehensive assessments.
- Previous experience in leading and coaching a team.
- Previous experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Current driver’s licence and vehicle.
- Must be willing to travel.
