About the role:

The Head of Strategy plays a vital role in shaping the long-term direction of Anglicare. The Head of Strategy works with the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams to develop strategic plans, identify growth opportunities and ensure alignment with Anglicare’s Vision, Mission and Values as well as business activities. The role of Head of Strategy contributes to making a meaningful difference to the lives of individuals and communities across NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape the development of the corporate strategy in the medium to long term planning horizon, including key performance indicators
  • Lead strategic engagement across a range of diverse business units, which may include strategic reviews, new growth and value creation opportunities
  • Provide information and recommendations to the Anglicare Executive and Board
  • Monitor the implantation and effectiveness of the corporate strategy
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging trends in aged care, incorporating relevant insights into strategy
  • Lead and mentor a team of strategy professionals, fostering a vibrant team culture to ensure team members realise their full potential

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Business Administration or a relevant field
  • Proven experience in senior roles in corporate strategy or top tier management
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience and capability
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen, with an ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to navigate complex organisation and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Passion for improving the lives of older Australians with experience in aged care, retirement living or home care desirable
